New ALI Funding Available for Land-use Research

Alberta Land Institute (ALI) is pleased to announce that it will provide funding in two exciting research areas.

The application deadline is 4 p.m. June 28, 2013. It is expected that successful applicants will be notified by August 15, 2013.

Research funding opportunities will cover municipal development and governance, which include:

  • Assessing the Current Governance Framework for Land-use Planning in Alberta (Max. $30,000 in funding); and
  • Municipal Revenue Generation and Implications for Land Use and Environmental Quality (Max. $60,000 in funding)

Proposals must be in line with ALI’s mandate to provide evidence-based policy options to resolve land-use issues, support dialogue with stakeholders and identify new approaches to secure Alberta’s prosperity through transformational land management.
