Understanding and mitigating the gaps between the federal and provincial policies related to soil health and farm management practices in Alberta

A one-day in-person workshop on Friday, 17 March 2023 will bring together a group of policymakers, policy analysts, researchers, government practitioners, producers, and non-profits to understand and reduce/mitigate the gaps between the federal and provincial policies on soil health and the actual farm management practices on the ground in Alberta. 

OBJECTIVES:

1. To understand the disconnect between what policies and researchers suggested and what is being practiced by farmers;
2. To suggest ways and means to bridge this gap; and
3. To create a common platform of farmers, researchers, and policy analysts for a continuous discussion on soil health in Alberta
